The blog is back with another senior session from this Fall. We have been thoroughly enjoying this year’s Senior class… they have blessed us, and we feel so honored to be asked to step into their lives to create portraits and photographs of them.

Here’s another great senior we were blessed to work with this summer… Meet Erin!

Senior pictures are the last page of childhood… the perfect finale to the story of your son or daughter’s growing up and the marking of the transition of childhood to adulthood.  When you invest the extra time and effort into having your senior photographed by a professional, you’ll have beautiful portraits that capture her personality that hangs on display in your home long after they are gone off to college or marriage or to save the world.

You raised them well… Now remember them well.

Meet Aishwarya, one of the amazing Seniors we’ve been blessed to work with this summer!

Jodi and I have always enjoyed the perspective that young people bring to life. Their energy and enthusiasm for life is contagious, and we “grown-ups” could stand to loosen up a bit sometimes.

Dillon is one of those great kids that leaves you wanting to hang out with him again.  I gotta give him props for working hard for some sweet senior portraits. For one, it was about 102˚ the day we photographed him. We started in the morning, but it still was almost too humid to breathe. But that didn’t stop him from putting on his hunting gear for some pictures in a pond he had scouted out. He worked hard for those images, but I think it paid off.

When it comes to golf, Dillon has his sights set on being a professional and he’s well on his way by winning at the Iowa Games earlier this summer. We wish him all the best this year as he looks to add a state title to his resume!

Emily is a senior at a local high school, and we were honored to create some images of this memorable time of life for her and her family!  We always appreciate and enjoy families who send multiple children our way, and Emily is the second one from her family to be a GP Senior!  That officially qualifies her as awesome. :)

When we do portrait sessions at home, it’s generally my job to watch the kids while Jodi works in the studio. During one point, while Jodi was photographing Anastasia outside, one of the children wandered into the studio and a second later came running back into the house excitedly yelling “There’s a bunny out there!” It was all I could do to keep them in the house the rest of the time, until the session was over and Anastasia kindly let them hold Eeyore.
